About ECFB

Our organization actively serves the Edgar County community. Edgar County Farm Bureau recognizes the unique needs in a rural community. From rural advocacy to leadership development, we work on behalf of agriculture to improve our community as a whole.  We encourage the non-farming community, ag professionals, and farmers to collaborate to continue safe and healthy food production.

Established in 1917

After beginning by a common desire to expand access to agricultural education, ECFB has grown to advocate for and unit the less the 1% of Edgar County's population who farm. Growing and adapting to always aid in its members' needs, ECFB celebrated 100 years of service in February 2018 at our 100th Annual Meeting and Centennial Celebration.

Our Leadership

Per by-laws, a Board of Directors consisting of 19 agriculturalists governs Edgar County Farm Bureau. Staying true to grassroots traditions, members continue to direct policy and programs and guide Edgar County Farm Bureau into the future.
