ECFB Foundation Scholarships

The Edgar County Farm Bureau® Foundation is offering 4 scholarships in 2025.
​One valued at $2000, one valued at $1000 provided at, and one valued at $500 and new this year the Terry Sturgell Memorial scholarship of $1,000.

​     ECFB Foundation Scholarships 
All applicants for the $2000 scholarship must meet these eligibility guidelines:​
  • Be a college-bound high school senior
  • Exhibit potential for successful completion of course study
  • Be an Edgar County Farm Bureau® “MM” or “Voting” member or dependent of such Voting Member
All applicants for the $1000 scholarship must meet these eligibility guidelines:
  • Be an Edgar County Farm Bureau ®  member, spouse or dependent of such member
  • Preference will be given to MM members but all members are eligible
All applicants for the $500 scholarship must meet these eligibility guidelines:
  • Exhibit potential for successful completion of course study
  • Be an Edgar County Farm Bureau ® “A” or “Associate” member, spouse or dependent of such Associate Member

​Terry Sturgell Memorial Scholarship
​ $1,000 Award, all applicants must meet these eligibility guidelines
  • Must be pursuing an agriculture degree
  • Can be attending a 2 or 4 year college
  • Do not need to be a Farm Bureau member

The scholarship is to honor former ECFB President Terry Sturgell. Terry served as president of the organization from 1999-2015.
The criteria for awarding the scholarships are as follows:
  • Scholarship
  • Academic performance and honors
  • Rank in Class
  • Financial Need
  • Evidence of self-help (How is the student contributing financially to his/her education?)
  • Character and personality (Demonstrated leadership, motivation, etc.)
